11:30 am MN State Duck (Sanctioned) $35
1:30 pm MN State Goose $35

Registration for contests will begin at 9:00 am each morning.

Women’s Hunt 2011
Girls, Guns, and a Lanyard of Calls
Join the women of the Minnesota Duck and Goose Callers for the Second Annual Women’s Hunt!

The Hunt will be announced soon, sometime in October and/ or November 2012!

But, now’s your chance to take advantage of offerings and classes leading up to the hunt!

Sign up/Information Session: May 31, 2012 Caller’s Meeting at Cabela’s – Rogers.
7 p.m. Second Floor Conference Rooms.
Focus: Intro to Waterfowling and Hunter Safety

First Class: June 28, 2012 – 7 p.m. at Cabela’s – Rogers, MN
Focus: Intro to Calling Part 1

Second Class: July 26, 2012, 7 p.m. at Cabela’s – Rogers.
Focus: Intro to Calling Part 2

Third Class: August 30, 2012, 7 p.m. at Cabela’s – Rogers.
Focus: Goose Hunting and Tactics

Fourth Class: September 27, 2012, 7 p.m. at Cabela’s – Rogers.
Focus: Duck Hunting and Tactics

The Hunt: October and/or November of 2012.

March Monthly Meeting

Join us at our March Monthly meeting on March 29th from 7-9 pm at the Cabela’s store in Rogers, MN.

What is the status of waterfowl in Minnesota? New rules, regulations and/or season changes.

Come down to the meeting this Thursday night and listen to to Steve Cordts tell us all about the current situation in MN. This would be a great opportunity to ask any questions you want on how or why we have the current sytem and structures in place. What MN’s role is in the rest of the flyway.

Concerning 2012 Game Fair Calling Contests

In the past few weeks we have been made aware of a series of calling contests that will occur in conjunction with the 2012 Game Fair event in Anoka, Minnesota. We have also received some inquiries pertaining to the details of this event. The Minnesota Duck and Goose Callers Association is in no way, shape or form, affiliated with these contests or the individuals that are managing the rules or details governing these contests. We ask that you contact the Game Fair offices for any questions or concerns you may have.

As many of you know, the Board of Governors of the Minnesota Duck and Goose Callers Association voted to forgo both the calling contests and attending the 2011 Game Fair event. The main responsibility of our Board of Governors is to ensure that the resources of the Association are used in the most efficient manner and in the best interest of the Association as a whole. We felt that the resources of the Association were better suited to be utilized at venues and events that require less of a financial and personnel commitment. We will once again be holding the State and Regional contests at the Scheels store in Mankato, Mn. In addition, we are currently working with other retailers, event staff and promoters to offer competition callers additional venues and contest opportunities. Gun Raffle Calendars

The MNDGCA is selling gun raffle calendars for The Minnesota Waterfowl Assoc. They are raffling off 128 guns over the course of the year. Each calendar is $40 with $10 of that going to the MNDGCA.
